Teriyaki Butter Chicken
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless chicken
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp sake
1 tbsp unsalted butter
For the sauce:
2 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sake
1 tbsp mirin
1 tbsp sugar
Method:
Clean and slice the chicken thighs in half
Season both sides with salt and pepper
In a small bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients, mix till sugar is dissolved
Heat a large pan over medium heat, once hot, add olive oil. Add chicken skin side down to pan, cook till brown about 4-5 min
Once the skin is nicely browned, flip and cook another 3 min
Add sake and cook covered until cooking liquid is gone
Remove the lid and wipe off excess oil on the pan with a paper towel
Add the sauce and butter, spoon the sauce over the chicken a few times
Serve with your favorite veggies! I ate mine with broccoli! Top off with extra sauce from pan & Enjoy!
