Friendsgiving feast
BOK CHOY
Ingredients:
6 bok choy ( washed, cut in half)
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tbsp ginger, minced
S & P
Method:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees
Wash and cut bok choy in half (pat dry with paper towel)
In a small bowl mix together all ingredients
Pour sauce over bok choy and season with salt and pepper
Place in oven and cook for 10 minutes, til bok choy is soft
Serve and pour excess sauce on top!
Crispy Parm Thyme Sweet Potato Stacks
Ingredients:
1 sticks unsalted butter
6 medium sweet potatoes, ⅛ in thick
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
2 tsp oregano, chopped
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
¼ cup grated manchego cheese
S & P
Method:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Grease a muffin tin and set aside
In a small saucepan melt butter and garlic til fragrant
Slice potatoes and add to a large bowl
Pour melted butter over potatoes and add cheese and herbs, S & P, mix til all potatoes are covered
Stack potatoes a little higher than the muffin pan
Place each stack into pan
Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes
Remove foil and bake another 20-25 minutes
Asian Pork Chops
Ingredients:
4 pork chops
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp sake
2 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp sugar
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ginger, minced
½ tsp cornstarch
1 shallot, minced
Method:
In a zip block bag, add the marinade
Poke pork chops with a fork and add to the bag, marinate for 30 minutes
When done marinating, heat a large saucepan on medium high heat with some olive oil
Add in pork chops, save marinade for later, cook til brown and flip
Cover and turn down heat to medium low, cook for 3 minutes
Once finished add marinade back in and simmer
Serve in a serving dish and pour sauce over top!
Bacon Wrapped Dates
Ingredients:
10 dates, remove pits
5 slices of bacon, cook half way
Method:
Preheat oven 400 degrees
Take half cooked bacon and wrap dates and place on a baking sheet
Cook for 7 minutes and flip and cook another 7 minutes
