Ingredients:
For the beef
1/2 onion
1 green onion
1/2 lb thinly sliced beef
For the sauce
For serving
Step by step:
First, chop your onion and green onion into thin slices
Then, in a pan (don’t turn on heat) add your sake, mirin, soy sauce, and sugar
Next, add your onions, separating them from each other
After add your sliced beef on top, covering all your onions
Cover pot and cook on medium heat
When the meat is cooked, skim off the fat, then add your green onions and cover again. Continue cooking another 3-4 minutes
Once finished, add your steamed rice to a bowl and serve the meat and onions on top! Drizzle some more sauce and top it off with some red pickled ginger and your onsen egg! Enjoy!
