pork and veggie stir-fry
Ingredients:
1/2 lb thinly sliced pork (or your choice of meat)
15 snow peas (remove strings)
1/2 onion (thinly sliced)
1/2 green cabbage (chopped into 1 in pieces)
3 carrots (halved, then cut into matchsticks)
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
5-6 slices ginger, minced
2 Tbsp olive oil
3 cups bean sprouts (loosely packed)
For the Pork Marinade
For the Seasonings
4 tsp oyster sauce
4 tsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp salt
black pepper (to taste)
4 tsp toasted sesame oil
Step by step:
Add marinade to the bowl. Toss with the pork and set aside to marinate til ready.
Heat a large frying pan or wok on medium-high heat. Once it’s hot, add olive oil. Then, add the garlic and ginger and coat. Once fragrant, add the meat and stir-fry until it’s about 80% cooked. Take meat out and set aside.
Next, add the onion and stir-fry until almost tender. Then, add the carrot and toss.
Once the carrot starts to get tender, add the cabbage and snow peas. Continue to stir.
Add bean sprouts and pork back to wok and mix & cook again, until meat it fully cooked. Next, add sauce and combine well.
Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Finally, drizzle in toasted sesame oil.
Serve in your favorite bowl and enjoy with a bed of steamed rice. Enjoy!
