Orange Cream + Oat Breakfast Smoothie

Hi Guys!
This smoothie right here is my latest obsession. I like to whip one up when I’m whirling out of the door on busy summer mornings or just when I need a pick-me-up to help me power through the rest of my to-do list. My love for adding oats to my smoothies dates back pretty far. I was finding that the recipes I was regularly using were missing something, so I started to try (way too many) different things and landed on oats as a winning ingredient! Woot woot. I use Quaker Old Fashioned oats because they are nutritious and adding them to smoothies is an incredibly simple way to enjoy the benefits of their whole grain goodness and fiber.
Blending Quaker oats into a smoothie is a GREAT way to help give it added nutrition because a ½ cup serving provides 4g of fiber. Also, I am super picky about the consistency of my smoothies and together with frozen banana it gives it a nice rich and thick texture. Y-U-M!
Every single time I make this smoothie to take on the go, it’s practically gone by the time I get into my car.
Here’s how I make it!
Orange Cream & Oat Breakfast Smoothie!
INGREDIENTS:
Juice of 1 freshly squeezed orange
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup Quaker Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 cup non-fat, plain greek yogurt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp honey
1 tbsp flax seed
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 cup coconut water
dash of cinnamon
1-2 cups cup ice
METHOD:
Put the ingredients into a high-speed blender, blend until smooth, pour into your favorite glass and enjoy!
Just like that, it’s like you’re eating an orange cream treat on a hot summer day, but instead it’s a delicious and nutritious smoothie! Woo hoo!
