How I healed my skin with Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula skin care
Hi guys! How are you?
If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, you might have seen that I’ve been trying to be more diligent about my skincare recently. Specifically, I’ve been getting facials pretty regularly. And while I do love them and can sometimes see great results from them, lately they’ve made my skin crazy dry. I’m not sure if it’s my face reacting to the exfoliation process or the products, but whatever it is, my skin has been craving moisture.
So...I decided to join Palmer’s for their Coconut Radiance Challenge! This challenge is perfect timing as its goal is to use natural ingredients (like coconut oil) to enhance your skin’s glow aka dewy, healthy skin! This is mainly through the use of their amazing new Coconut Oil Formula facial products and by eating well and exercising. They’re promoting a holistic approach to beautiful skin through a healthy lifestyle, and you guys know that’s right up my alley! Each day of the challenge you’re given tasks that involve their products (they tell you exactly what to do morning and night), and then you’re also prompted to keep track of all the good things you ate, and what physical activity you took part in.
Another thing I love about the challenge is that it prioritizes the use of natural ingredients and I appreciate that Palmer’s is working to get clean products on our shelves at a reasonable price, exclusively at Walmart - so easy, right?! Plus, it’s an ethical brand, so I feel even better about using their stuff.
I’ve been a little hesitant about using oil on my face in the past, but I’ve been doing it for a while now and am no longer scared. When coconut oil is pure and good quality, like Palmer's, you don’t have to stress about it clogging your pores or anything like that. Plus, it can penetrate your skin better than a lot of oils out there (or lotions), and can break down the makeup and sebum (your body’s natural oil production...the bad kind of oils on your face). That leads to a cleaner face, less breakouts, more balanced skin, etc - lots of good things!
Coconut oil also has a lot of antibacterial properties and can protect your complexion from potential pathogens (aka toxins). Lastly, coconut oil can help to boost collagen in your face, which leads to less wrinkles!
After following Palmer’s 7 day Coconut Radiance Challenge, you can see my skin is in MUCH better shape. Sooo impressed!
The Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula skin care regimen consists of:
- Coconut Oil Cleansing Balm
- Coconut Oil Facial Moisturizer
- Coconut Oil Facial Scrub
- Coconut Oil Luminous Hydration Facial Oil
- Coconut Oil Hydrating Facial Mask
I loved the idea of mixing 2-3 drops of the Luminous Hydration Facial Oil and the Facial Moisturizer together as the night cream because it really gave it a super boost of hydration without feeling heavy. I also used the Hydration Facial Mask twice within the last week which was gentle enough on my sensitive skin.
My skin is no longer super dry and has been healing very nicely from the reaction I got from the facials and I feel great!
P.S. I’ve totally jumped on the coconut train and have been trying it in a bunch of new recipes. I’m still perfecting a few, but I promise to share those soon! Stay tuned!
